Especially worth writing about

• Corrections. A wrong dimension, an out-of-date range, a claim about bird behavior that doesn't match what you see. Include a source if you have one and it gets fixed fast.
• Tool requests. If you keep doing a calculation by hand, that's a candidate. Every tool on The Bench started as somebody's repeated annoyance.
• Broken things. A tool that misbehaves, a page that won't load, a print card that comes out wrong. Mentioning your browser helps.

What won't get a reply

Link-building offers, sponsored post pitches, guest article proposals, and AI-written outreach. Nothing personal — it's just not what this site is.

Bird ID questions

Happy to look, but a local birding group or an ID-focused community forum will nearly always be faster and better. Regional knowledge beats a general answer for anything tricky.
